On  03.10. eleven children were computer trained.
On  04.10. other children participated in a drawing spree under the theme I dream.
On  05.10. four children from the center for temporary residence participated at a seminar Pupettherapy where they could create their own puppets out of paper mache.
On October 22 10 children visited garden in the village of Ignatievo , organized by “ART CENTER VARNA”.

September 30, 2008

In September the children at the Day care center participated in the “ART Center Varna” organized activities on drawing, and modeling. The Center included our children in their project “create beauty together”. The activities were undertaken twice a week at the Day care center Gavroche.

On the School year 2008-2009 Opening  Day – 15th of September, Association Gavroche  provided to all the children attending the Daye care center and the center for temporary  residence with school bags and school materials. 15 of the children started 1`st grade this year.
On 26, 29 and 30th of the month started the Parents school activities with first group of 8 women, parents of current or future attending the Day Care center. The aim of the activities with the parents is to achieve better quality of relationship and care for the children outside Gavroche.

September end marked the finalization of the Phare Project “Chance for Gavorchvci”. For all the period of the project 99 children were taken care of in all the three social services financed by the project – Crisis center, Day care center and Protected Homes.

August 16, 2008

For the town of Varna’s holiday -15th of August, the children attended a concerts organized in the sea garden, after which they were invited to a lunch at the Restaurant of the Aquarium.

June 30, 2008

Students from the imperial college in London visited as volunteers at the Day care center. They participated in the everyday activities, education and leisure time of the children. There will be 2 more groups in the upcoming months till September.

In June children were taken to the mountain youth center of Assocation Gavroche, where we organized camps on yearly basis. This happened in the periods 2.06.-06.06.; 16.06.-20.06.; 23.06.-27.06.2008 the children could enjoy the mountain, were taken to excursions and participated in organized celebrations.

May 30, 2008

Celebrations of the 24th of May and  1st of June were organized by the firms “7 June” and AFALAS-2 fo  the children at the day care center . the children went to the Aquarium.  

Every child from the center for temporary residence, the day care center and the boys from the protected homes received the sum of 20 lv each as a gift by Mr. Harbov, who is a private donor known to association Gavroche, the gifts were for the occasion of June 1st. the gifts were given with gift certificates signed by the children.

On 30th of May at 10.30 was organized a June 1st celebration in the VL. Varnenchik District of the town. The event was held at a sports location and children who live in the district were invited. The program included games, drawing, and competitions. The children were given sweets and awards.

Guest of the event was the representatives from all local institutions- Social support Department, department of child protection, social workers.
The event was organized by Gavorche, department of child protection and the Complex for social support of children and families and the municipality of the district.
Financial support for the celebration was provided by Piccadilly and Burlex  trade Chains.

In the framework of the  forest week of 2008 “to plant a tree, to raise  hope” the children  fro the Day care center and center for temporary residence Gavroche planted pine tree and alder.The trees were gifted by Ms. Jiwka Iwanowa, Director of State Forestry- Varna

March 15, 2008

The children from the Day care center made Valentine greeting cards for their mothers. Since the second half of February started with preparations for the March 1st holiday/ Baba Marta/ everyday the children learned making martenitci. On the March 1st the children were gifted martenici my well-wishers and were visited at the center for a small celebration by pupils from Club 2000 / from the Professional gymnasium of textile and fashion design. The children had prepared short program with songs and verses about Baba Marta.  
Children made greetings card for their mother for the 8thf March – Women’s day.
The day care center was used by students for the Varna Free University, Shumen University and the medical College as a training center.  The students could practice and gain their practical education participating in all activities at the center.
On the 14th of March the crisis center for abused children organized a meeting to present its services to the representatives of the instutions – social workers from the departments for child protection in Varna and Devnia, local commission for adolescents crime prevention, director of police department in Devnia, inspectors from pedagogical police departments.

Three new groups of children, each 10, were formed to attend the Day Care center, financed by the Phare Project "Chance for Gavroshovtsi".
